2026 Division Five Senior Womens Grand Final

An opportunity at Mulgrave Reserve awaits both Templestowe and Upper Ferntree Gully as they battle it out for the Division Five premiership.

The two sides have met a total of three times this year, most recently in back-to-back weeks in Round 14 and the second semi-final. The finals meeting saw the Kings get across the line by nine points after a very tight first three quarters.

The strength of Upper Ferntree Gully has been their scoring power, the number one ranked attacking side of the division.

Karlee Wiesner, Taylah Moore, Kaitlyn Roleff-Woolhouse and Kate Edmanson have combined for 71 goals for the season.

They come up against the best defensive side of the competition in Templestowe. The Dockers kept the Jets to just two goals in the Preliminary Final, the tenth time they’ve kept a side to two goals or fewer in a game.

Dimi Doumas has been the key target up forward, 30 goals for the year, more than any other player in Division Five.

While the senior side has missed some key players at times, particularly in the second half of the season, they’ve had many who have continued to stand up. Mai Lim, in just her second senior season of football, has been very consistent, using her pace to her advantage. Chloe Cooper has been in the best 11 times from 14 games, also kicking ten goals.

Expecting a similar type of game to the last time these two teams met in the second semi. Both Upper Ferntree Gully and Templestowe were inaccurate on that day; whoever can make the most of their chances this weekend will reap the rewards.
