Two stories. One premiership.
On centre stage in the Premier Division Grand Final for season 2026 is two clubs chasing their own history.
Park Orchards are one victory away from completing a historic three-peat after last year’s thrilling Premier Division premiership win over South Belgrave, and 2024’s Division One victory over North Ringwood.
Boronia too will chase their own slice of history, playing off in their first Premier Division Grand Final. The Hawks have stormed into the finals on a six-game winning streak, four of those games coming against top four sides.
The Hawks held on for a one-point win over South Croydon in an epic Preliminary Final. All single goal kickers on the day, with Briannan Lambe listed as the best Hawk on the ground.
Under Sean Buncle, the recruitment has been fantastic across the last couple of seasons. Georgia Kavanagh, Harriet Knijff, Indiana Makai and Sophie Stark are just some of the key inclusions this season to the list.
Boronia defeated Park Orchards the last time the two sides met back in Round 12 at Domeney Reserve.
The Sharks have had a different pathway to the Grand Final this year, unlike their last two seasons. Park Orchards defeated South Croydon in the second semi-final by 17 points, with Elly Hartnett booting three on the day.
Some key names in recent weeks have returned to the side, including former Collingwood VFLW star Ava Campbell.
In phenomenal form this year, Mia McAuliffe will once again be very key on the big stage through the midfield. Kristen Bertoldi another star to watch and has stepped up on Grand Final Day before, a previous best on ground medal winner.
We have been treated to some fantastic Premier Grand Finals in recent years, this will be no exception. Expect it to go down to the wire.
