Under 16A Boys - Blackburn Black vs North Ringwood Red @ Scoresby Recreation Reserve, 3:10pm
Two of the strongest junior clubs in the EFNL are set to meet in this weekend’s U16A Boys Grand Final in what is shaping up to be an evenly poised decider.
Blackburn were the first to qualify for the decider after a convincing 86-point triumph over second-placed Mitcham at Sunday’s venue.
Harvey Brookes continued his excellent season with another five goals while Levi Brown and Ben Puschenjak also chipped in with two goals.
They’re set to be key alongside leading goalkicker Sam Whitmee and young gun Zac Bugeja, with the former kicking 32 goals so far this year.
North Ringwood on the other hand had to go the long way to book their ticket for this weekend’s decider, defeating Croydon and Mitcham comfortably in their two finals to date.
Goalkickers were wide spread in both their wins, with Isaac Parsons leading the charge last weekend with five goals and Ben Campbell kicking three the week prior.
Harrison Tasca kicked a combined four goals in both those finals and is set to be vital alongside Jesse Wootten.
The Saints knocked off the Burners back in Round 4 at Quambee Reserve by five points before Blackburn was victorious the second time around at Morton Park, winning by 14 points that game.
