2026 Under 18 Girls Grand Final Preview

Under 18 Girls - Blackburn vs East Ringwood @ Knox Gardens Reserve, 12:55pm

The Under 18 Girls game will see the undefeated Blackburn take on East Ringwood in the early hours of Sunday afternoon at Knox Gardens Reserve.

Blackburn’s U18 Girls team has put together a dominant year, winning quite often by big margins throughout the course of the season.

Molly Brauer plus Ava and Milly Loverso have all had excellent seasons alongside Samantha O’Donnell, who has kicked a team-high 46 goals in 16 games this year.

Current Norwood senior women’s player Sienna Landy has also juggled her junior and senior duties well whilst skipper Jessica Cheevers and Eloise Gill have excelled.

They once again meet an East Ringwood side who they comfortably accounted for a fortnight ago in their qualifying final meeting.

The Roos come into this weekend after a thrilling one-point victory over Wantirna South to book their ticket to Sunday’s decider.

Abby Sharp kicked three of the Roos four goals in the win, increasing her tally to 38 goals from 16 games this year.

She’ll be crucial if East Ringwood are to cause an almighty upset alongside noted goalkickers Ambrie Duke, Lara Sterritt and Sienna Bandera, who’ve all had excellent seasons alongside Hayley Ross.

In their two regular season encounters against the Burners they were held to 13 points in both of them whilst Blackburn kicked a combined total of 141 points.

This game is also set to be broadcast on EFNL YouTube early on Saturday afternoon in what is set to be a massive day for both the Blackburn and East Ringwood Junior Football Club’s at Knox Gardens Reserve.
