Division One

  1. FTG Eagles Blue 41 lost to East Ringwood Black 54

A great round of Division One Netball, the ladder is starting to take shape, two more wins for East Burwood Black and East Ringwood who leapfrogged previous ladder leader Croydon after their loss to the emerging Vermont Eagles. Lilydale fought hard but couldn’t quite get the win over a tough opponent in Coldstream. With the top three now distancing themselves from the rest, the race is hotting up for the last finals spot with Vermont, Coldstream and FTG even an outside chance to take it.

Division Two

Coldstream Black continued their unbeaten run atop the division two ladder, opening the gap on Oakleigh district who had a slip up against Croydon North MLOC. At the other end of the ladder Bayswater Gold remain winless after a hard fought loss to Heathmont who have picked up some important wins in recent games while Vermont Eagles won an important mid table clash against Blackburn which could become pivotal come finals time. .

Division Three

  6. Chirnside Park Panthers Yellow 29 lost to East Burwood Grey 35

Heathmont White recorded another big win against Boronia Gold as they continue to set the pace, undefeated at the top but it was the Nunawading lions up against the Vermont Eagles that was the most decisive match of the round, ending in a draw was fitting for the contest that had the most ramifications for the ladder.

Division Four

Division four is shaping up to be a tight season with no one team establishing themselves as the dominant force and a clear top 6 has formed. There was some movement within that top six though as UFTG red went down to Kilsyth Cougars who now move into fourth place while Oakleigh District’s loss to Montrose means they lose touch with the top four albeit with a game in hand.

Division Five

Silvan Cats were knocked off top spot in a classic against Balwyn, paving the way for Vermont Eagles to climb to the summit after their big win against East Burwood.  Boronia had a big scare against South Croydon, getting up by just two points in a fantastic contest as did Park Orchards who got up in a must win that kept them in the top four.

Chirnside Park hold on to top spot for now, after getting a huge win against Lilydale but GWH are breathing down their neck, notching up another win against Knox and have a spare game to leapfrog the panthers. Park Orchards had a narrow loss to Ringwood by just 2 goals that could have seen them jump up from the bottom of the table.

Division Seven

  3. Heathmont Blue 24 def FTG Eagles Yellow 17

  4. Waverly Blues Red 29 def Montrose Thunder 19

  5. Ringwood Black 31 def Montrose Devils 22

The top of the table clash between the Waverly Blues and Montrose Thunder who were both undefeated coming into the round saw the Blues emerge as the undisputed ladder leader, defeating the Thunder by 10 goals. Coldstream won again and a clear top three has emerged at the summit with a 16 point gap opening up to fourth place. Heathmont had an impressive win against FTG Eagles that keeps them in contention while Ringwood black ensured they didn’t get dragged to the bottom of the table with a win against Montrose Devils who remain winless after 10 rounds.

Division Eight

  2. Noorwood Black 30 lost to South Belgrave Saints 34

  3. Montrose Storm 31 def Waverly Blues Blue 16

  4. Ringwood Red 20 lost to The Basin Grizzlies 34

Nunawading Lions snuck into fourth place after their low scoring win against Croydon North MLOC. The Basin continue their good work at the top, comfortably taking care of Ringwood. The Waverly Blues drop to fifth after their big loss to Montrose Storm that could be important at the end of the season while South Belgrave hold second place after getting home against a tough Norwood who are still in the finals race.

Division Nine

  1. Chirnside Park Panthers Black 30 def Montrose Heat 23

  2. Bayswater Green 25 lost to Nunawading Lions Maroon 27

  3. Montrose Raptors 16 lost to Noorwood Gold 38

  4. East Burwood White 17 lost to Coldstream Green 33

Norwood Gold have all but sewn up top spot after they defeated Montrose Raptors and second placed Montrose Heat slipped up against Chirnside Park. It means Norwood now are 3 wins clear atop the table and the chasing pack will have to settle for the remaining finals positions. East Burwood could have continued their finals push but were downed convincingly by Coldstream who picked up their first win of the season.
