In Division 1, Vermont eased past Noble Park to all but end the Bulls’ season for 2017. Jake Best was the focal point up forward for the Eagles, booting seven majors. At Morton Park, Blackburn sealed its finals place with an eight-point win over Doncaster, while Bayswater finished its season on a high note, defeating Rowville by four points.
In Division 2, Doncaster East ended its home and away season in emphatic fashion, with a last-gasp victory over Wantirna South through a late goal to Matt Vaiano after trailing by 23 points at three-quarter time.
Park Orchards kicked off its Division 3 finals campaign with a 41-point win over Templestowe at East Burwood Reserve. Connor Hickey booted four goals for the Sharks, while Michael Philp kicked three.
In Division 4, Donvale began its finals campaign with a 32-point win over Forest Hill. Sutherland and Murphy each finished with five for the Magpies, while Pincott had five for the Zebras.
