EAST BURWOOD STATEMENT

“The Board of the East Burwood Football Club advises that Senior Coach Fabian Carelli and Assistant Coach & Chairman of selectors Adam Lenarcic were asked to vacate their positions as of Wednesday 9th July, 2014.

The Board wishes to acknowledge the contributions of both Fabian and Adam to the East Burwood Football Club and wishes them well in their future endeavours.

Assistant Coach Scott Hunter will assume coaching responsibilities of the Senior Team for the remainder of the 2014 season. The Club thanks Scott for accepting this role in the midst of what can only be described as difficult circumstances.

This decision was not taken lightly as both Fabian and Adam have made outstanding contributions to the Club. But the Board reached the view that there was a need to begin immediately to rebuild The Ram’s winning culture.

Needless to say we recognise that this is just the first step in what will be a long and difficult period of adjustment and more changes will be announced within the coming weeks. But we are confident that these changes will see the Rams recover quickly, adapt to the dramatically shifting demands of EFL football, and re-emerge as a formidable community football club.”
