EASTERN REGION GIRLS
Following the success of the 2015 competition, girls football in the East is back, bigger and better.
Eastern Region Girls combines resources and teams from both the Eastern Football League and the Dandenong Ranges Junior Football League in order to give girls in Melbourne’s east the chance to play in all girl’s competitions across multiple age groups.
At this early stage there is a potential that across the now three age groups (Under 12’s, 15’s and 18’s) the competition could grow from 12 teams in 2015 to upwards of 25 with a number of new clubs expressing interest.
EFL clubs that are looking to field sides in season 2016 are:
Bayswater
Chirnside Park
Croydon
Donvale
East Ringwood
Ferntree Gully
Kilsyth
Knox
Lilydale
Mitcham
Montrose
Norwood
St Simons (Rowville)
Upper Ferntree Gully
Vermont
Waverley Blues

GIRLS INTERLEAGUE
2016 will see the launch of the Eastern Football League into Representative girl’s football! The League will enter a Youth Girls side into the AFL Victoria Junior Metropolitan Championships, the first time in the leagues history that a female rep. team has worn the EFL colours. Last year six leagues competed in the Championships with our closest rivals Yarra Junior taking out the title with a win over South East Juniors in the Grand Final. Announcements regarding Coaching staff and trial dates will be made in the coming weeks
