Forest Hill set their sights on regrouping this off-season, ready to close the gap between them and the top six of the division.
Senior Men’s
Ladder Position: 7th (0-15)
Leading Goalkicker: Benjamin Morgan
Season Summary:
In a Division Four competition that became super competitive in 2025, the Zebras were unable to find a win in season 2025.
Forest Hill battled hard, showing competitive signs across the season. They were away from their usual home, playing their home games out at Koonung Reserve for the season.
This included a tight encounter in Round One against Kilsyth, and a competive first half in Round Seven clash against the eventual premiers.
A highlight of the year was the achievement of James O’Sullivan who played Game Number 350. A proud achievement, a loyal servant of the club, first wearing the colours back in 1995.
Key Players:
Mitchell Pierce had a strong season with the club, selected and named in the EFNL Division Four Team of the Year.
Will Stoneham was also recognised as a member of the Team of the Year Squad.
Having one of the most consistent seasons for the Zebras, Trent Warkuss finished as the Forest Hill Best and Fairest winner. Warkuss finished one vote ahead of the Runner Up Jarryd Lynch.
What’s next?
A big off-season for the Zebras as they look to close the gap between themselves and the top six.
The club have recently announced a couple of new signings while re-signing some key personnel for the 2026 season.
Shaun Semmens, a hard running midfielder joins the club, possessing a strong resume from the Southern Football Netball League.
Sean Kelleher has also signed at Forest Hill, a versatile player who played in a 2019 premiership side with Semmens at Doveton. He’ll add some height to their forward line with the ability to move into the ruck.
