The Eastern Football Netball League regret to announce the decision of the Forest Hill Football Club to enter recess for the 2027 season, following the club's Annual General Meeting.

The EFNL recognises this would have been a difficult decision for both the club and its valued members.

The Forest Hill Football Club has a proud history within the league and is an important part of the EFNL community.

We understand the significance of this decision and the league will remain committed to working closely with the club as it enters recess next season.

EFNL CEO Jy Bond expressed his support for the club’s efforts to rebuild.

“Forest Hill Football Club has an extensive history, one we are willing to retain and work for, and while this decision is disappointing, we will continue to support the club in their off-field endeavours to rebuild and return.

"The league and Club and Community manager Heath Black have invested significant time supporting our clubs over the past two years and will continue to assist in this rebuild. As we saw both Doncaster Football Club and Nunawading Football club return from a recess in 2025.

Further updates to Division Four of the Senior Men's competition to be announced shortly.
