EFNL Partners with HITIQ to Support Player Safety

The Eastern Football Netball League (EFNL) is pleased to announce a new partnership with HITIQ.

Through the partnership, EFNL clubs will have access to HITIQ PROTEQT, an advanced smart mouthguard system designed to monitor head impacts in real time.

The technology can alert players and clubs to potential head injuries and guide users through a symptom assessment process, with access to telehealth support from concussion specialists if required.

Importantly, the technology is also supported by the League’s insurance provider, Sportscover, providing an additional level of confidence for players and clubs as they continue to prioritise player welfare and best-practice concussion management.

EFNL CEO Jy Bond said the partnership reflects the League’s ongoing focus on player safety.

“Player safety is a key priority for the EFNL, and concussion management continues to be one of the most important issues in community football,” Bond said.

“Partnering with HITIQ gives our clubs access to emerging technology that can assist with identifying potential head impacts earlier and supporting appropriate medical assessment. The added backing of our insurance partner Sportscover also gives our players and clubs greater confidence in adopting this technology.”

Executive Chair of HITIQ, Earl Eddings, welcomed the partnership, highlighting the opportunity to expand the use of impact detection technology across community sport.
