On Sunday, the Montrose Football Netball Club hosted the annual Girls Day Out, an event that recognises, honours and celebrates the achievements and contributions of women in our sport and community.
The day saw the ground host all Montrose female junior and senior sides across the afternoon. All female field umpires were appointed in each clash on the day.
It was fantastic to have AFL stars at the ground for the day, speaking and answering questions inside the rooms and sharing their personal experiences.
The following were all in attendance, all fantastic role models for the girls and women in action during the Sunday games:
Keeley Sherar (Carlton AFLW)
Kaitlin Barr (AFL Rookie Boundary Umpire)
Mia Austin (Carlton AFLW)
Grace Baba (Hawthorn AFLW)
Hayley McLaughlin (Hawthorn AFLW)
