HAMILL LANDS AT HEATHMONT

Heathmont have found their pilot for the 2023 season signing Knox Assistant Coach Scott Hamill as the Jets said goodbye to Nick Rutley. 

Hamill assisted Brendan Whitecross during Knox’s 2022 campaign, prior to that took the helm at Surrey Park – taking the panthers to their first finals campaign of the century in 2019.

On behalf of the Heathmont Football Netball Club committee we are pleased to announce that the Senior Coach for the 2023 season is Scott Hamill.

After an extensive and exhaustive interview process, we found that Scott had the necessary skills and talents to enable our playing list to fulfil their individual potential and get our club back playing finals in Division 2.

Scott brings a wealth of playing experience to this role. He is a past premiership player with both Warburton and Chirnside Park as well as a past Captain and B and F winner. He also made the Team of the Year twice.

He has coached Chirnside Park Development squad, Surrey Park Seniors ( made finals for the 1st time in 20yrs under his tutelage ) and has been the Senior Assistant Coach at Knox Football Club  for the past 2 seasons, under Brendan Whitecross. Scott has also been an Assistant Coach for the U15 Div 1 EFNL Interleague team and was a member of the coaching staff at the Hawthorn Football Club Academy.

He was also the EFL 2018 Coach of the Year.

A meet the coach event will be organised in the coming weeks where Scott will introduce and outline our Preseason Program as well as introduce our
