24 DAYS TO GO | Eastern Lions junior president David Cox spoke to EFL Media ahead of the 2019 season, all thanks to Yarra Valley Water & Choose Tap.

Overall, were you satisfied with what the club achieved, both on and off the field in 2018?

David Cox: Yes we were. The players in every age group did their best and enjoyed playing. The under-13s had their best year so far. Under-17s made the preliminaries.

Approximately how many teams do you think you will field in 2019?

DC: Under-10s, under-12s, under-14s and under-17s.

What has the feeling been like around the club over the pre-season?

DC: Positive, looking forward to the new season.

If you had to pick one, which team do you think is the club’s best chance of winning a premiership this season, and why?

DC: Under-14s because they have been together for four years and this will be their fifth year together.

Is there a particular age group of players that you need as soon as possible to fill a team ahead of Round 1?

DC: Under-17s and under-9s.

If any players are interested in playing for your club this season, what do they have to do?

DC: Contact us at  https://eastern lions.football. Or contact club president, David Cox at coxy55@live.com.au or 0484350985. Alternatively, Lisa Williams on 0411098017.
