Each year the EFL compete in the AFL Victoria Metropolitan Championships in the following age groups; Under 14 boys (two sides), Under 15 boys (two sides) and Under 15 girls (two sides).
The Metropolitan Championships are the first stage in the AFL Talented Player Pathway for both junior boys and girls.
The Eastern Football league have opened an expression of interest for the following positions within the junior interleague program:
•Coaching staff (Assistant)
•Team Manager
•Trainer
•Talent ID – Scout
