OFFICIAL STATEMENT – BLACKBURN FOOTBALL CLUB
The Blackburn Football Club regretfully announces that its senior coach of the past two years, Kon Karavias, will be unable to continue in this role because of increasing work, travel and family commitments.
However we are very pleased to announce that Kon will remain with the Club in a new role as Football Manager requiring lesser hours and obligations.
In this new role he will be responsible for list management and recruiting, overseeing a revised football and coaching structure, and the continued development of our football program.
Kon has been an outstanding coach and leader and has launched the club on a journey to premiership success in Division 1.
The playing group, while disappointed, respect his decision and fully support his new role. As a result they have all recommitted for 2018. The search for a new senior coach willing to embrace the Club and its program and embark on this journey will commence shortly.
