PANTHERS APPOINT ALLEN

OFFICIAL STATEMENT – BLACKBURN FOOTBALL CLUB

The Blackburn Football club is delighted to announce the appointment of Brendan Allen to the position of senior coach for 2018. Following a distinguished football career in the country, Amateurs and Southern League, Brendan commenced his coaching career in the Southern League with Murrumbeena and Canterbury football clubs. For the past six years, Brendan has been involved at state league level with AFL-aligned Sandringham where he has been senior assistant coach and midfield coach for the last four years.

With his exposure to the elite AFL/VFL programs at St. Kilda and Sandringham, Brendan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Blackburn which will continue to grow our program allowing the club to successfully compete at the top level of EFL football. Football Manager Kon Karavias is thrilled to have a person of Brendan’s calibre at the club stating that “he is an outstanding individual and leader who will invest in and build on what we already have in place here at the Burners.”

We welcome Brendan and his family to Blackburn and look forward to the next few years under his guidance and leadership.
