Peter ‘Cheese’ Carey Calls Time

Peter Carey called time on his role as Head of Umpiring with the Eastern Football Netball League earlier today.

Peter started with the League in February 2020, and after a challenging start with the 2020 season being impacted by COVID-19, before 2021 was also impacted, with a half season played before cancellation.

This season was his first full season after being in the role for almost three years.

We thank Peter for his contribution to Umpiring and the League and we wish him all the best in the future.

Peter will be retiring from the workforce and relocating to be closer to family, with a grand child on the way he is excited for the next chapter in his life.

Peter’s final day with the League will be Friday 14th October 2022.

We wish him and his family all the best in their relocation and his retirement from the workforce.
