PLAYER POINTS INTRODUCTION

As part of the Community Club Sustainability Program the Eastern Football League has adopted the Player Points System ahead of the 2016 season.

This season each Senior team will have a maximum of 50 points to be allocated across the 22 players selected for that round. When selecting a team for the upcoming round, clubs will need to keep under the threshold for the selected side.

Prior to the commencement of the season each player will have their points locked based on their previous playing and transfer history.

A minimum of 1 point will be allocated, as such even with deductions 1 point is the lowest value a player can obtain.

The system is broken up into 6 categories each allocating a points value to the player from six-one:

– 6 Points: AFL Player

Minimum of 1 AFL game in any of the previous 3 seasons

– 5 Points: VFL, WAFL, SANFL
