RAMS RETURN HOME

East Burwood has announced a number of key signings ahead of its maiden Division 4 season in 2018. 

After the club announced its coaching panel last month, dual Balwyn premiership player Jason Kennedy headlines the on-field signings, returning home after last playing for the Rams in 2013.


EAST BURWOOD

The 30-year-old has had previous stints with the Casey Scorpions (2006) and Port Melbourne (2008-09), and more recently has played with Northcote Park in the NFNL followed by the last three seasons at Balwyn, playing in the Tigers’ 2015 and 2016 flags.

Ex-junior Adrian Gileno also returns to the club, after stints with Vermont (2012-13), Mooroolbark (2014), Rye (2015-16) and Hawthorn AFC in the VAFA (2017). The 31-year-old has kicked over 500 goals in his career.

After three seasons with Healesville, Ben Miller will don the black and white again after a 10-year hiatus from the Rams having also previously played with Mitcham, while athletic ruckman Jai Middleton returns from South Australia.

Star on-baller Steve Perri will return to footy in 2018 after a long lay-off with injury,  while 24-year-old Eddie Rixton and club stalwart Rhett Masters are poised to re-sign for season 2018.

Meanwhile, duo Anthony Perri and Stephen Kennedy are set to join the club through family connections.

East Burwood will hold its meet the coaches night on Wednesday, October 18 at the club at 6.30pm.
