A statement from the Jets…
The Heathmont Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of the highly credentialed Simon Rourke as its senior coach for next season.
Simon had coached current EFL Division 1 club Lilydale since 2009, including winning the 2011 Division 2 premiership.
Simon’s focus will be to continue to develop the current playing list and to implement a culture of continuous improvement as the club strives to achieve its goals in season 2014 and beyond.
Along with Simon’s appointment, the Club is also pleased to welcome back 2008 premiership coach Pete Forsyth and 2011 premiership captain Steve Shore as Assistant Coaches. Their roles will be to support Simon in developing and mentoring our playing list.
The club would also like to take this opportunity to thank Steve Buckle for the work he has carried out over the past four years and genuinely wishes him all the best in his future football endeavours.
