Perfect Conditions greeted all four Eastern Football League Grand Finals is season 2015! From one sided affairs to surprisingly close contests and momentum shifts a plenty – the 2015 Senior EFL Grand Finals had it all! Balwyn claimed their third premiership in four seasons. Stars on every line helped propel the Tigers to a 111 point win over Norwood.
After a huge win over Croydon in the Second Semi Final, Doncaster prevailed to claim their third flag in 5 seasons with a big win over local rivals Doncaster East. Led by 6 goals from Nathan Thompson, the Sharks were helped to victory by the work of Ben Johnson in the midfield who was awarded the Blue Ribbon Medal.
Mitcham broke a 34 year Premiership drought, capping off their Grand Final win with a six goal final term increasing their winning margin and signalling the start of celebrations. The Tigers were challenged but never headed by a tired Bears outfit who had given everything to make it to the big dance.
From 1-4, Kilsyth clawed its way to a Grand Final in season 2015. Never phased by a challenge the Cougars managed nine wins on the trot to March to September. Their run ended on Grand Final day as they were kept at arm’s length by a well-drilled Warrandyte side with some unfinished business. The Warrandyte senior Premiership capped off a day of Red and white in which the club claimed all three flags on offer.
