Following the success of the 2016 carnival, AFL Victoria have released the fixture for the 2017 WorkSafe AFL Victoria Community Championships.
The Eastern Football League will host the Essendon District Football League in the first Senior match-up between the two leagues in almost three decades.
In 2016, The EFL went down the the Geelong Football Legaue in the quest for top spot, shifting the leagues ranking to Number 3 for the 2017 season.
Meanwhile the EDFL claimed a 4-point win over the Goulburn Valley FL to move into the 3 v 4 clash.
Further details will be announced in the new year, closer to the May 13/14 2017 Championships.
