A thrilling encounter at Pat Wright Senior Oval saw Noble Park defeat South Croydon by two points. The Bulls fought back from a 22-point deficit at half-time, kicking five goals to one in the third term to lead by four points at the final change to set up the win.

At Mullum Mullum Reserve, Norwood proved too strong for Rowville, running out 28-point winners. Leigh Williams starred yet again for the Norsemen, kicking five goals.

In Division 2, Mooroolbark consolidated its place in the top-four, defeating a hapless Mulgrave by 108 points at Heights Reserve. Kire Talevski led the charge for the Mustangs, booting six majors.

Division 3 produced one of the upsets of the season, with Scoresby defeating Ferntree Gully by one point.

At East Burwood Reserve, East Burwood and Boronia played out a thrilling draw, with the final scores locked at 63-apiece at the final siren after a last-gasp effort by the Hawks’ Jarryd Rutherford registered a point.

At H.E Parker Reserve in the top-of-the-table clash between Heathmont and Park Orchards, the Sharks registered a 30-point victory after leading all day.

The Jets fought back hard in the second-half, reducing the margin to just 18 points early in the final term, but the Sharks held too much firepower for the gallant Heathmont, with Nicholas Handley (three goals), along with Matt Nicholson and Michael Prosenak, each kicking two.

Kilsyth survived a second-half scare from Surrey Park, defeating the Panthers by 23 points at Pinks Reserve.

The Cougars burst out of the blocks early, kicking five goals to one to lead by 21 points at quarter-time, followed by a 15-point lead at half-time.

The margin was cut by Surrey Park ever so slightly at three quarter-time, where Kilsyth led by 13 points, but a burst of six goals in the final term to the Cougars was enough to ensure the four points.
