EFNL TRAINING UPDATE – MAY 18

Following on from the AFL Victoria Training resumption memo, the EFNL will be keeping the suspension of all club sanctioned training in place until at least Sunday 31st May.

We anticipate the Return to Training protocols will be distributed to clubs tomorrow afternoon.

Clubs will require time to review, discuss and implement the guidelines and protocols and 5 days is nowhere near enough time to do that.

We remain very concerned about the additional burden on clubs amongst an already challenging backdrop, we have no definitive season start date and no clarity on the restrictions that will be in place if/when the season did start.

With the easing of restrictions we do however encourage players to get out of the house, get together with their team mates to have a kick and keep fit and sane, whilst following COVID safe practices.
