FIXTURE | ROUND 1, 2017

Round 1, 2017 is set to deliver for all EFL fans with a host of cracking encounters to kick start season 2017 in the East. All four 2016 Senior Premiers will have the chance to unfurl their flags at home in the first week of the season. Vermont wont need to wait long for revenge with a Grand Final re-match away from home against the reigning Premiers Balwyn in the first week of the season. 2016 contenders Noble Park and Rowville will also meet in Round 1 at Pat Wright Senior Oval.

Division 2 Premiers Bayswater will play their first game in the top flight since Round 18, 2003 hosting South Croydon.

Division 1, Round 1: Balwyn v Vermont Bayswater v South Croydon Blackburn v Norwood Montrose v Doncaster Noble Park v Rowville North Ringwood v East Ringwood (Sunday)

In Division 2, newly promoted Upper Ferntree Gully will host Mitcham as they unfurl their 2016 Premiership flag. For the first time since Round 17, 2009 (Division 1) neighbours Wantirna South and Knox will face-off with local bragging rights once again up for grabs!

Division 2, Round 1: Croydon v Doncaster East Upper Ferntree Gully v Mitcham Wantirna South v Knox Lilydale v Waverley Blues Mulgrave v Mooroolbark

Premiership hopefuls Heathmont and Templestowe will meet at HE Parker Reserve in Round 1 with both sides looking to kick start their 2017 campaigns with a victory. Meanwhile two sides looking to push into the top tier in Division 3 will do battle at Batterham as The Basin host Ringwood.

Division 4 Premier, Ferntree Gully will play their first game of Division 3 Football since 1995! The Eagles will unfurl their flag in front of a home crowd against Boronia.

East Burwood will play their first game in Division 3 away from home taking on Scoresby.

Division 3, Round 1: The Basin v Ringwood Scoresby v East Burwood Ferntree Gully v Boronia Chirnside Park v Warrandyte Park Orchards v South Belgrave Heathmont v Templestowe

Under a new name, Eastern Lions will play their first game as Fairpark away against last year’s runners-up Forest Hill. While, a new look Coldstream outfit will head to Koonung Reserve and take on Nunawading in Round 1.
