The EFL Board have endorsed a reduction in the Total Team Points as part of the Player Points System Policy for all EFL clubs for the 2017 season to 47 points.
In arriving at this decision there has been a detailed analysis of the average and maximum number of Total Team Points used by clubs across all divisions during the 2016 season, along with the impact any potential Season of Service deduction (-1 point) may have when current players are retained by their existing club.
Clubs should ensure the limit of 47 points is remembered during the recruitment of players to avoid disappointment in being unable to pick all available players on your list.
